Raleigh Farmer's Market Fresh Produce

Farmers Market – This is where NC farmers bring their product to sell directly to consumers. You can find anything from plants, fruits, vegetable, bakery, fresh honey from the farm, organic meat, eggs, homemade ice cream and condiments.

Bulk Candies at Farmer's Market

Whole Foods Market – is a certified organic grocery store. You can also find beauty products, diabetic supplies, health foods and herbal medicine. It is quite a store to walk around as you will see various products internationally.

Trader Joe’s – Grocery store which sells rare products at great prices.

Oriental Grocery Stores

A few large Asian grocery stores are in the area where you can find ingredients imported from Asian countries. Chinese , Thai, Vietnamese vegetables. Here you can find fresh seafood (still alive) for sale with better price than what you can find in American grocery stores. The following are the 2 big ones among many in the area.

Grand Asia Market is the biggest Asian grocery in Triangle NC. They also serve home cook Chinese meals there as well as Chinese pastries. Chinese snack , Eastern medicines. Here you can find fresh seafood (yes, still swimming in the tank) for really good price than what you can find elsewhere. You can also find Asian cooking supplies.  If you want to buy a product and do not see it on the shelf, you can talk to the manager and he/she will try to order it for you to pick up. Here you can also catch a bus to NY and back.

Another Asian grocery store very similar to Grand Asia is A & C Supermarket 3210 South Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC 27603 (919)-232-2288. They are located in another part of town in Garner. You can find equivalent products there.

The same owner of A & C supermarket in Garner also opened one up in Durham. It is called Li Ming’s Global Mart 3400 Westgate Drive Durham NC 27707 (The old Circuit City building on 15-501) This gives residential of Triangle an access to Asian grocery stores without having to travel long distance to one.

There is a large population of Indians in Morrisville (adjacent to RTP) so there are many Indian grocery stores in that area (You can find Rice, Groceries, Movies, Calling cards etc. there)
