Fall – temperature between 60s – 70s. This is the time to take enjoy the beautiful foliage alongside roadways and mountains. Blue Ridge parkway is one of the most popular places to watch the foliage.
Winter – temperature between 30s – 50s. While the winter here is not so severe, but don’t take it for granted that there could be snow, ice and hailstorms. Though severe weather does not mark the majority of the days in winter.
Spring – temperature between 50s – 80s. This is one of the most beautiful seasons as flowers are blooming. You can see wild flowers along the side of I-40 highway as you drive through them. They are purposely planted by department of transportation. Pollen can be heavy in some years. Spring is also a Tornado season, While there have not been that many destructive Tornado, it is certainly something to be aware of how to handle.
Summer – temperature between 65s – 90s. It can get HOT and very humid at times.
