Groups and Associations

Each of the town’s park and recreation centers (or community center) hold classes ranging from fitness to gardening, art, culinary, pottery, jewelry making etc. at reduced prices to residents. These are good ways to use your spare time as well as making friends with people in your communities..

Some of the well-known groups are

  • Raleigh Jaycees – A group of young professionals between the ages of 21-40 with an interest in leadership development through community service.
  • Raleigh Bike Club – Bicycling club in Raleigh and surrounding area whose purpose is to promote bicycling activities and build relationships cyclists locally, nationally and internationally.
  • TRI Sports Social Club – A social group for co-ed sports leagues, adventure trips, social events, philantrophic events, theme parties and more.
  • Raleigh Ski and Outing Club – a Non-profit organization whose purpose is skiing, camping, hiking, sailing and outdoor activities.
