Spring Season
Easter Egg Hunts – A popular activities throughout the area. The city, churches and parks in the area sponsor egg hunts. Some of them have fun and games for children.
Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival – Town of Cary and Town of Apex sponsors yearly events for artists and merchants to sell their items at the Cary Lazy Daze Fair and the Apex Peak Fest.
Summer Season
July 4th Firework – People gather together at different parks to watch the fireworks. The Koka Booth Amphitheater at Regency Park also offers free concert from NC symphony orchestra. You can bring a blanket with food to picnic.
International Festival
Every year at the end of Summer, all the representatives of different ethnic groups in Raleigh come together in an event to promote the awareness of their culture through dances, unique merchandise and cultural booths. The food is out of this world! and you cant find them on a regular basis.
Fall Season
State Fair This is one of the largest outdoor events in Raleigh. millions of people come to one of the 10 day events. There are concerts, animal competition, historical products display, Southern products, Vegetable competition, hard-to-find food (like Krispe-Kreme Donut Hamburger).
Corn Maze
Every year when the harvest season come to an end, some farmers turn their corn field into a fun maze where you follow clues in the middle of the hugh corn maze to get to the destination. Don’t take this lightly, some people get lost in it (but not forever
)
Winter Season
Lights on the Neuse – is an outdoor Christmas event opened to everyone. Activities include Christmas Hayride, The Christmas Barn, Visit Santa
First Night’s Raleigh – New year celebration sponsored by many local organization in town. This event includes performances and throughout different locations in the downtown area.
